Join to raise awareness, support and advocacy for the proposed Bonita Estero Rail Trail (BERT).
Whether you’re an avid cyclist, a supporter of local initiatives, or just someone looking for a fun-filled day, the Ride for BERT offers something for everyone. We hope to see you there, pedaling alongside us for a great cause!
The proposed Bonita Estero Rail Trail (BERT) will run from just south of the Lee Collier County border to Alico Road along the 14.9-mile unused rail corridor through downtown Bonita Springs and Estero ending just north of San Carlos Park at Alico Road. BERT will connect to the John Yarborough Trail to the north and the Paradise Coast Trail to the south. Ultimately, BERT will be part of the Florida Gulf Coast Trail that will run the entire length of Lee County, a strategy we refer to as ‘ConnectLee‘.
