Tenways Wayfarer eBike
The Tenways Wayfarer is a step thru eBike that rolls on 27.5-inch wheels, offering a perfect mix of ruggedness and commuting capability.
An out-of-the-box top speed of 20mph (which can be upped to 28mph) is possible thanks to the Bafang 500w rear-hub motor with a peak output of 750w. A 48v , UL-certified removable battery promises up to 35 miles of throttle and 85 miles in pedal assist mode.
The Tenways Wayfarer’s 6061 aluminum step-thru frame is paired with a front suspension fork and suspension seat post to keep the ride comfortable. While hydraulic disc brakes stop the bike and a 1×7 Shimano drivetrain gives plenty of gearing options. The 27.5 inch wheels are wrapped in Kenda 2.6 inch puncture-resistant tires.
A 4.3 inch LCD display shows relevant ride data and pairs with the Tenways app. The Wayfarer is also equipped with Apple “Find My” technology, so you can track the bike’s location.
The weight of the bike, including the optional (and currently free) fenders, kickstand and rear rack is 66 pounds and the carrying capacity of cargo and riders is 264 pounds.
The Wayfarer is available in Sapphire Blue or Meteor Grey color schemes and retails for $2,199 at tenways.com. Free shipping and a two-year warranty are also included.
