The Lacros Cyclone is billed as a commuter eBike, but it fills an interesting niche. With an extra-long step thru frame and 20″ wheels, this eBike is super easy to mount. Add in the full-suspension system and 4″ all-terrain tires and you’ve got a machine capable of handing some off-road riding as well.

The Cyclone is powered by a 750-watt rear hub motor, which moves the bike up to 28 mph in pedal assist mode and 20 mph in throttle only mode and provides peak power of 1,400w. The 48v battery promises a range of between 60 and 80 miles.

A smart LCD display shows battery charge, speed, distance and pedal assist level. A front headlight and rear tail/brake combo provide safety and visibility. The throttle is of the twist variety.

On the analog side of things, hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors provide plenty of stopping ability, while the standard Shimano 7-speed drivetrain shifts the gears. The adjustable oil and spring front suspension fork offers 80mm of travel, while the rear suspension system brings 30mm of travel to the party.

Front and rear fenders are standard and help keep road grime and water off the rider, while a rear rack is a handy place to carry things such as books or groceries.

Weighing in at 82 pounds, the cyclone is recommended for riders between 5’2″-6’3″ tall and has a payload capacity of 400 pounds. It is available in Orange and White Color schemes and retails for $1,259 at lacrosebike.com
